This document is a comprehensive practical tool written to aid the corrections practitioner and others within the justice community with a series of practice guidelines and guiding principles to help implement a more effective response to underage drinking youth who become involved in the justice system.
 
Underage Drinking OJJDP Bulletin, September 2012: Effects and Consequences of Underage Drinking
This bulletin presents findings from a literature review that investigated the effects of underage drinking on youth’s physical, emotional, and neurological health. It also discusses the personal, legal, and economic consequences of underage drinking. The bulletin is part of OJJDP’s underage drinking bulletin series, which provides guidelines for communities developing treatment and prevention programs.
